Shadow Puppy. Again.

Poor baby puppy. She's had a rough day.

The vet (we're his new best friend and financier of his car, boat, and house) wrapped her leg up because she's got some kind of neurotic lick going on and has done a number on herself.

She's not happy with the situation (no red bandage wrap to match her collar) and is sighing quite a bit. We're sighing too.

Wow, it is sad just to look at her! Tell her hi for me.

The licking problem is apparently a new thing to add to her list of neuroses. And they had to wrap it because they couldn't give her a shot of cortisone, which is the usual treatment, because it elevates blood sugar. So she gets topical antibiotics and we get to change the wrap every couple of days. We need a dog nanny.

Poor Shadow. Feel better!

Every time I look at this picture of Shadow I feel so tender towards her. That being said, do you think that if we used a bandage on us in a similar fashion on days when we felt a little, you know, down in the dumps, that others would extend their tender mercies and care in our behalf? I really am thinking of getting one to have around, just in case. It could be a good tool or a prop in a skit that one might just be performing in at a Relief Society Luncheon or a Compassionate Service Seminar. Shadow could come and be a guest presenter.
