Doug's Bad Day

Sometimes life doesn't go exactly as one plans...

At least it didn't go flat until he was in the parking lot.

And now that I think about it, his car didn't catch fire (last year) until he pulled up in front of the house. The kid is blessed.


But not so blessed in the pie department. (His aunt swears it's our oven.) It did, however, win an award at his FHE Pie Baking Contest. "Pie of Questionable Origin."

And despite having to bake it for 45 minutes more than the recipe called for to get it done in the middle, and despite the fact that the Bishop's wife broke her spatula trying to cut it, it was oddly good.
