Happy 4th of July!This is one of our very favorite holidays. We just got done with the BBQ... the ribs were so good. Bob has passed the torch (or should I say tongs?) and Doug did a great job with the grill this year!
We've spent the 4th of July in some fun places in years past ~ some of the most memorable were probably at Angel Stadium, or along the Charles River in Boston, listening to the Pops. But I think our absolute favorite has to be right here at home with our family. Last year was so much fun with all our loved ones gathered together!
This year it's been just the four of us... kind of quiet, but a nice day nonetheless. We're taking off in Coach in a few minutes to get a good spot for the town fireworks show. We'll be hanging out and playing cards while we wait, and wishing you were all here!

Dave and I had a great 4th, too but we did miss you. So glad Bob is coming next week to make up for it!
last year was so much fun. we would have loved to join you guys for another bbq... but instead we fought off dirty pigeons while eating ham and gouda sandwiches on a baguette.
Being with you would have been wonderful!!

Of course, Robbie and Hannah were in PARISfor the Fourth. Probably not much in the way of 4th of July fireworks there.
