Dear Thief,

Dear filching pilferer who stole my sterling silver spoon ring from the counter in the girl's locker room at Foothill HS in 1978,

You know who you are.

And I want my ring back.

Masterpiece

I am so into this right now! (This particular production is one that grandma would have loved, and papa would have chuckled through the entire thing). Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) plays Mr. Woodhouse, and he's hysterical.

And frankly?
The girl who plays Emma looks so much like our Carrie ~ her appearance, facial expressions... it's so much fun to watch.

Did you miss the first episode? It's okay. You can watch it online! Part 2 is tonight, and part 3 next week. And...you are so lucky. I ordered the DVD. So next time you come to visit, we can watch 4 hours of unedited (except by me, of course. you won't want to miss my commentary) Emma.
I. can't. wait!

Warp 9

We're still watching Star Trek every night, boldly going where we've gone before. We just started season two of Next Generation. Again. Thankfully Tasha Yar is dead, Deanna Troi got to quit wearing her hair in that ridiculous bun, and Riker, bless him, grew a beard and started putting his foot up on every console.

Engage.

  4. Carlton Lassiter
  5. Gus’ stupid little car
  6. Shawn’s crazy names for Gus
  7. Corbin Bernsen’s awesome fake hair
  8. Gus’ superpower is his nose

Bubblicious

Roaming around in facebook yesterday, I came across a face I'd not seen for many, many years. Tall. Dark. Handsome. My mom leaned over to me during Sacrament meeting one Sunday and said, "He thinks he's God's gift to women." Being a typical teenage girl, I silently thought to myself, "Yes, perhaps he is." (Unfortunately, he had an irksome habit of chewing and snapping gum continuously. But, we were talking about God's gift. And one learns to forgive these things). I leaned over to my mom and said, "Let's call him the sexy gum chewer." So from that day on, Tall, Dark, and Handsome became the Sexy Gum Chewer. That is until yesterday. Now he's just.... old. It was rather depressing.
