Here Ye, Here Ye, Read all about it!

My friend wrote a piece for the New York Times today. He's knows I'm a conservative Mormon housewife. It doesn't bother him. I know he's a liberal gay Jew. That doesn't bother me. We've known each other for 18 years. He knows me well enough to call me 2 hours after my mother died. I know him well enough to let him align my Chakras.

I appreciate the things he said in his column today. I understand completely the sentiment and feelings he was trying to express. Yet tonight I realized that while
I can talk to him about pretty much anything, I've never talked to him personally about what matters to me the most. And that is my belief that Jesus Christ is the Savior, the Son of God, and the cornerstone of our religion. Mormons are Christians.

I know most of you far better than I'll ever know my friend, yet just in case you and I have never personally talked about what matters to me most, I want you to know that I have a firm, strong, and unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and loves us and wants us to be happy.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
