... and they say nothing exciting ever happens around here. Last week Doug went on splits with the missionaries and stepped in a fresh pile of dog doo. And got it all over his shoes and the pant leg of his new suit. The expensive one.
Tonight he came home from a Prop 8 meeting and his car caught fire as soon as he arrived home. We're talking flames. 911. Sirens. Firemen. (ahem). Neighbors. Lots of water. Firemen. (Believe, me. It's worth repeating).
I'm not sure what his ward's got planned for next week....

I can't believe what a close call that was. SO glad he is alright.
What are the spiders going to do now?
what? how does that just spontaneously happen??
we don't know yet... there was no previous indication of any kind of trouble. the firemen (who were all huddled around the engine) were thinking maybe brake fluid or something else i had ever heard of. we've got to get it towed to a mechanic.
Oh my word. I am so glad he's ok!
Maybe he should stay at home next week!
Hey, let me know if you ever learn the cause of the fire. How spooky that is!!
You have had your Halloween trick. My best to Doug
